ULTRAFILTRATION AND MICROFILTRATION PROCESSES

Ultrafiltration (UF) and Microfiltration (MF) are membrane filtration processes that work with a low pressure.
UF is normally used for the separation of organic compounds with a medium-high molecular weight.
MF is used to separate colloids and suspended solids with dimensions smaller than one micron (pigments, yeast, bacteria …)

TECN.A. has developed a range of systems whose models use ultrafiltration tubular membranes which cover a wide range of flow rates, and apply automatic methods of chemical and mechanical cleaning (sponge ball rinse: a sponge ball goes through the membranes, cleaning their surface).

TECN.A. competitively directly imports and commercializes ultrafiltration tubular membranes which are perfectly interchangeable with other brands.

Highly efficient cleaners  for membrane cleaning of our production are also available.

TECN.A. designs all type of ultrafiltration and microfiltration systems using polymeric membranes, either spiral wound or hollow fibers and tubular, and with ceramic membranes, which are traditionally used in:

  • Pretreatment of industrial discharges for COD reduction
  • Degreasing baths (bath life extension)
  •  Emulsifying oils separation

Moreover, TECN.A. has consolidated proprietary applications, such as:

  • Concentration and separation of biomass in industrial biological plants
  •  Tangential filtration of suspended solids
  • Photoresist spent solutions regeneration in the P.W.B. industry

We are always available to study and design new potential applications which require the use of tangential filtration, such as wine stabilization or proteins separation from the serum, offering our pilot plants and our expertise, to later carry out the actual plant on an industrial scale with advantageous prices.
